Manage Your Research Identity and Track Your Impact: Creating a Digital Scholarly Profile In-Person

How do you stand out in a crowded field of researchers? How can you present a coherent picture of your research and its impact? How can you learn who is citing you and what these data actually mean?

Developing a digital profile for your scholarly work is often the first step. This workshop will

  • cover key strategies and tools for building and enhancing scholarly online profiles.
  • provide an introduction to scholarly profiles such as Google Scholar, Scopus, Web of Science, and ORCID.

The workshop will incorporate hands-on practice.  If possible, please bring a laptop or tablet with internet connection (no special software required).  A limited number of computers will be available for those who need them.

This is part one of a two-part series. Registration for Part 2: Understanding metrics and altmetrics, can be found here. Participants are not required to take both workshops.
