SUMMARY:[ONLINE] Introduction to Data Management Plans
DESCRIPTION:When you're working on incorporating good research data 
 management (RDM) practices into your research\, a data management plan\, or 
 DMP\, is a crucial tool to ensuring you can keep everything organized\, 
 both during and after your project. DMPs are also increasingly being 
 required as part of funding applications\, including those for the 
 Tri-Agencies. This workshop will examine the key questions to consider when 
 preparing a DMP\, and will introduce the DMP Assistant online tool for 
 preparing your plan.\n\nThis session is primarily intended for graduate 
 students\, faculty\, postdoctoral fellows\, and staff engaged in research 
 outside of the classroom setting. For undergraduate students conducting 
 research for a class\, please contact your subject librarian.\n\nFor those 
 who would like a general introduction to research data management\, please 
 consider attending the Introduction to Research Data Management workshop on 
 January 5. For information on other skills related to RDM\, please consider 
 the Personal Digital Archving workshop on January 7\, and/or Digital File 
 Management workshop on January 8.
