This session introduces researchers to High Performance Computing (HPC) and the resources available to support computationally demanding research. We will review the historical development of supercomputers, advantages and disadvantages, and where to access these systems at the University of Calgary and across the country.

This session is led by Pedro Martinez Fernandez, Research Software Developer with the University of Calgary's Research Computing Services in the Department of Information Technologies.
