SUMMARY:Research Ethics with Human Participants
DESCRIPTION:This workshop provides a practical introduction to research 
 ethics involving human participants.  It will cover the foundations of 
 ethical research\, the context and requirements of the Tri-Council Policy 
 Statement: Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans (TCPS 2)\, and the 
 steps to completing a successful ethics application at the University of 
 Calgary.\n\nParticipants will gain a clear understanding of why research 
 ethics matter and the regulatory context that shapes the review process at 
 UCalgary. The session includes a guided walkthrough of IRISS\, the 
 university's online ethics application platform\, and tips for preparing 
 your submission.\n\nThis session is led by Dr. Adam McCrimmon\, Associate 
 Professor and Chair of the University of Calgary's Conjoint Faculties 
 Research Ethics Board (CFREB).
