Research Ethics with Human Participants In-Person / Online

This workshop provides a practical introduction to research ethics involving human participants.  It will cover the foundations of ethical research, the context and requirements of the Tri-Council Policy Statement: Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans (TCPS 2), and the steps to completing a successful ethics application at the University of Calgary.

Participants will gain a clear understanding of why research ethics matter and the regulatory context that shapes the review process at UCalgary. The session includes a guided walkthrough of IRISS, the university's online ethics application platform, and tips for preparing your submission.
