Zotero is a free, easy-to-use reference manager designed to help you collectorganizeannotatecite, and share research materials. This hands-on workshop will guide you through the essential features of Zotero 7, empowering you to manage your sources more efficiently and generate citations in seconds.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Importing references from academic databases and websites
  • Organizing your library through sorting, folders, and tags
  • Finding full-text articles using Zotero’s built-in tools
  • Managing duplicate entries to keep your library clean
  • Inserting citations directly into MS Word documents using the Zotero Word Plugin
  • Generating bibliographies in multiple citation styles (APA, MLA, Chicago, etc.)

Pre-Session Setup:

This is a follow along session, so please create a Zotero account before the workshop and come prepared with Zotero installed on your device.

To get started, download Zotero and install the Zotero Connector. For help installing, review the Zotero installation instructions.
