Introduction to Digital Collections Online
Curious about what makes our Digital Collections so unique? This session introduces participants to the Digital Collections platform and showcases collections that support research and learning for faculty, staff, students, and the broader community. We’ll explore how collections are developed, what kinds of materials are included, and how to find and use them effectively.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Describe the scope and purpose of the University of Calgary Digital Collections.
- Navigate the Digital Collections site to locate and access materials.
- Explain the stages and roles involved in creating a digital collection, from proposal to publication.
- Understand how digital collection projects are selected and prioritized.
- Identify where to find support and guidance for using or developing digital collections.
