Oma is Loud is a writer and performance poet. Her writing is published in Prairie Schooner, Rattle Magazine, Chestnut Review, Palette Poetry, and other leading journals, earning honours such as the Glenna Luschei Award for Poetry, the Accute Poetry Prize, the Lagos-London Poetry Prize, and the UCPS Award for Best Emerging Poet amongst others. A winner of the Calgary Poetry Slam (July 2025) and the Vancouver Poetry Slam (October 2025), she is currently Artist-in-Residence with the University of Calgary Libraries and Cultural Resources.
