[ONLINE] Supporting Graduate Students Conducting Evidence Synthesis Reviews: What Supervisors Need to Know Online
This presentation discusses three main areas: 1) Overview of evidence synthesis reviews, specifically systematic and scoping reviews, including discussing the elements of high-quality reviews; 2) challenges faced by graduate students at specific steps of the review, and 3) strategies for supervisors to support their graduate students at various steps of the review process.
The presenters are health sciences librarians who have co-authored evidence syntheses, co-instructed graduate-level courses on ES methodologies, and have served on supervisory/examining committees. This session consolidates and shares the knowledge gained from working with students and discussions with supervisors.
