Eveline Kolijn

Eveline Kolijn In-Person

Join us for a public celebration of Ecologies: Eveline Kolijn.

Calgary-based artist and author Eveline Kolijn marries science with art; generating through printmaking, video and installation, a fantastical vision of our natural world.

A skilled and imaginative printmaker Kolijn uses lino and woodcut to describe undersea life with detail, pattern and formal design. Having grown up in the Caribbean, she has experienced both the beauty and demise of coral reefs—themes that continue to inform her work and advocacy.

Eveline received a MA in cultural anthropology from Leiden University in the Netherlands in 1986 and a BFA from the Alberta College of Art+ Design in 2008 including the Governor General’s Award for academic achievement.
