Skill Up Session: APA Psycinfo Online

Are you needing to conduct a literature search on the topic of psychology, or are working on a topic that intersects with mental health? APA Psycinfo could be the database for you! This database utilizes subject headings and keyword searching to produce targeted and transparent results - particularly helpful for evidence synthesis projects or honours thesis projects. This database requires some technical organization, and so practice makes perfect. Join us for a follow-along session to become acquainted with how the database operates and how you can apply the techniques to various projects that you have on the go.

In this introductory session, participants will learn how to break down their research question into distinct concepts, become acquainted with subject headings, learn which fieldcodes to apply and develop an understanding of boolean logic strings (ORs, ANDs, NOTs).
