[ONLINE] Creating Effective Prompts using GenAI (spooky Halloween edition) Online

Would you like to learn more about effective GenAI prompt writing?

Join us for an interactive, one-hour workshop designed to broaden your understanding and skills with crafting effective writing prompts for generative artificial intelligence apps. Whether you're tackling research projects, academic writing, or curating innovative tech assignments, learning to craft effective AI prompts is an essential skill for today’s academic environment.

Participants should come prepared to use and engage with an AI tool during this session facilitated by Lorelei Anselmo, Anna Pletnyova (both from the Taylor Institute), and Kathleen James (LCR).

By the end of this session, learners will:

  • Understand and develop skills in writing effective prompts using Generative AI tools like ChatGPT.

  • Apply prompt writing skills in academic scenarios and identify the best tool for your purpose.

  • Identify ethical issues and limitations when using AI in a research environment.

For more information about creating prompts, browse the guide Maximizing Learning with Effective GenAI Prompt Writing created by the Taylor Institute (TI).
