Data Management with DataLad In-Person
This talk is a brief introduction to version controlling data and data processing workflows.
Three illustrative use cases (taken from neuroimaging, geophysics, and workflows for analyzing housing data respectively) will be introduced and will be used to provide an introduction to the main concepts of git-based file management, collaboration, and analysis.
This will include a brief introduction to repositories, clones, branching and merging, and committing changes to a dataset while preserving the history of previous versions. It will also discuss some concepts related to reproducibility and workflow tracking.
