Drop-in OER Office Hours Online

Are you looking for advice or have questions about open educational resources or open education? Drop-in during our virtual office hours to ask your questions. You can also submit your questions ahead of time by emailing oer@ucalgary.ca and we'll respond during the session.

Open Educational Resources (OER) are: Learning, teaching and research materials in any format and medium that reside in the public domain or are under copyright that have been released under an open license, that permit no-cost access, re-use, re-purpose, adaptation and redistribution by others (UNESCO, 2021). OER include full courses, course materials, modules, textbooks, streaming videos, tests, software, and any other tools, materials, or techniques used to support access to knowledge (Hewlett Foundation, 2017).

 

Office hours are happening the third Wednesday of every month from 12:00 - 1:00 PM. The specific dates are listed below.

  • Tueday, September 20
    • *Note: This Drop-In OER Office Hour has been moved to the Tuesday.

  • December 21
