Open Educational Resources (OER) Lunch and Learn Sessions Online

Join us virtually for our monthly lunch-hour learning sessions where you will learn about different topics related to Open Educational Resources (OER) and Open Education. During each session, we will have a short presentation on a topic followed by time for questions, discussion, and discovery. These sessions are open to all who are interested in learning more about OER, Open Education, related activities at UCalgary, and meeting others interested in Open Education. These sessions will be on the first Wednesday of each month.

Open Educational Resources (OER) are: Learning, teaching and research materials in any format and medium that reside in the public domain or are under copyright that have been released under an open license, that permit no-cost access, re-use, re-purpose, adaptation and redistribution by others (UNESCO, 2021). OER include full courses, course materials, modules, textbooks, streaming videos, tests, software, and any other tools, materials, or techniques used to support access to knowledge (Hewlett Foundation, 2017).
