Are you doing a veterinary literature search for your thesis or dissertation, or writing a review article?  Wondering if your search retrieved all the relevant literature?  In this introductory, hands-on workshop you will learn about:

  • Pros/cons of veterinary literature databases CAB Abstracts, Web of Science, PubMed
  • Best practice techniques for comprehensive searches:
    • Broaden and focus searches
    • Subject heading searching
    • Reference and cited reference searching
    • Grey literature
  • Exporting search results to EndNote
  • Reporting guidelines – PRISMA
  • Deciding where to publish

This workshop is a combination of lecture and hands-on search practice.
