Accessing Microdata Resources at the University of Calgary In-Person

Microdata is data at the level of the individual person or household and is used as the raw material for creating statistics. Statistics Canada collects this data through its many social and health surveys. In addition to providing additional detail about some of the more important surveys and their data, this session will also cover how to access microdata files – both public use and master – through the Data Liberation Initiative and Research Data Centre programs.

This workshop will be co-presented by Peter Peller, Director, Spatial and Numeric Data Services, Libraries and Cultural Resources and Charlie Victorino, RDC Analyst, Prairie Regional Research Data Centre.
