How do you stand out in a crowded field of researchers? How can you present a coherent picture of your research and its impact when putting together a tenure and promotion dossier, or applying to jobs or postgraduate programs? This session demonstrates the value of using an author ID to ensure that your scholarship is attached to a unique identifier, provides context around different types of impact metrics, and introduces the potential of altmetrics and academic social networking.
