Digital Scholar Lab Online

Join Gale Trainer, Becky Sowers, in a hands-on workshop designed to introduce the benefits of using text and data mining (TDM) in the classroom and in your research. Learn how the Digital Scholar Lab can help your users identify themes and patterns through both the distant and close reading of primary source documents. In this session, you will familiarize yourself with the Lab by applying at least one analysis tool to a curated content set and examining the results. We will also highlight specific tools built into the Lab that promote collaboration and proper research methodology. You will leave this workshop with ideas for how the Lab can be used for classroom assignments and research—from ideation to publication.

Prior to the session, consider creating your own personal Digital Scholar Lab account so that you are ready to follow along during the workshop.
